  Ever wonder how clean the airline seat you’re sitting in is as you  travel ? A new survey has dished the dirt on which carriers offer the most pristine experiences for fliers. Japan’s ANA All Nippon Airways was named the cleanest airline in the world, as part of the  Skytrax World Airline Awards 2018 . The Japanese carrier claimed top spot ahead of Taiwan’s EVA Air and South Korea’s Asiana Airlines in a top 30 list dominated by Asian companies. Passengers were asked to rate the standard and quality of aircraft cabins for a global survey conducted by UK-based aviation industry reviewer Skytrax. Seat areas, tables, carpets, cabin panels and washrooms are all part of the overall score. Singapore Airlines, Japan Airlines, Cathay Pacific Airways, Qatar Airways, Swiss International Air Lines, Hainan Airlines and Lufthansa make up the rest of the top 10. Jet Airways continues to limp towards bankruptcy. Right now the situation is still fairly dire, but could there be a last minute saviour of the Indian airline? Japan’s All Nippon Airways (ANA) today took delivery of its initial A380, which will serve the popular Japan-to-Hawaii routing – and is appropriately painted in a special livery depicting the Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle, also known as the Honu.  ANA becomes the world’s 15 th  operator – and Japan’s first – of this widebody passenger aircraft. It has ordered a total of three  A380 s. Powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 900 engines, the jetliner features ANA’s very latest in-flight entertainment systems, as well as full connectivity in all classes. It will enable the airline to almost double the capacity between Japan and the U.S. island state of Hawaii, generating value for the airline. Garuda Seeks To Cancel Order for 49 Boeing 737 Max Jets The fallout from the pair of fatal crashes involving Boeing 737 Max 8s in less than five months appears now to have extended to the Boeing’s order backlog, as Garuda Indonesia has signaled to the manufacturer that it wants to cancel deliveries of 49 of the narrowbodies. A spokesman from the airline told news outlets Friday that Garuda has sent a letter to Boeing requesting the cancellation due to a “loss of confidence” in the airplane among Indonesian passengers. Boeing officials will visit Garuda executives in Indonesia on March 28 to discuss the matter. The airline has received one of the airplanes under the terms of a $4.9 billion order for 50 placed in 2014. Ethiopian Airlines on Monday said it had grounded its 737  MAX  8 fleet until further notice, following Sunday’s plane crash that killed all 157 people on board. In a statement posted on its official social media accounts, the airline said it was grounding the 737-8 fleet as an “extra safety precaution” even though it did not know the cause of Sunday’s crash.
