Ethiopian Airlines Offers 50% Discount On Major Destinations



Ethiopian Airlines is offering discounted fares in its economy and business class cabin.

The offer, 30 per cent discount apply on business class and 50 per cent on economy class fares, involves many destinations including Mumbai, new Delhi, Dubai, Beirut and also newly – added destination, Istanbul in Turkey.

The offer applies to booking made until 10 April, 2019, and for travel until June 30, 2019.

For the 7th year in a row of African Airlines Association (AFRAA) awards, Ethiopian Airlines, the largest Aviation Group in Africa won the 2018 Best Airline in Africa Award.


The award was given in recognition of its exceptional financial performance at the 50th high profile African Airline Association Annual General Assembly held in Rabat, Morocco.

Group CEO of Ethiopian Airlines, Mr. Tewolde GebreMariam said, “We are thrilled to win this prestigious award. In the last seven years we have been coming to AFRAA AGA and receiving this continental high-profile award every single year.

The award attests to the soundness of Ethiopian’s fast, profitable and sustainable growth plan, Vision 2025 and the associated business model.”
In its seventy plus years of operation, Ethiopian – the fastest growing airline in Africa – has become one of the continent’s leading carriers.
Ethiopian commands the lion’s share of the Pan-African passenger and cargo network, operating in more than 116 international passenger and cargo destinations across five continents.
Its fleet with an average age of five years includes ultra-modern and environmentally friendly aircraft like the Airbus A350, Boeing 787-8, Boeing 787-9, Boeing 777-300ER and Boeing 777-200LR with the airline being the first in Africa to own and operate these aircraft.

Severe Turbulence Trashes Emirates Airbus A380’s Interior

On July 13th a video surfaced of the aftermath aboard the upper deck lounge of an Emirates A380. According to  Paddle your own Kanoo , the incident is said to have taken place on Friday, July 12th. The flight was reportedly Emirates flight EK449 from Dubai to Auckland, New Zealand. Emirates has 111 Airbus A380 aircraft. Trays of cakes and sandwiches can be seen all over the floor, along with bottles of water and alcohol. It’s predictable that unsecured items like these would be strewn about in a case of turbulence. However, seeing a piece of an exit sign cracked and on the floor truly demonstrates the severity of this particular incident.
